Jake Hakus

As A Live Performance, Session and Recording Drummer, Jake has over 15 years of experience. 
Recorded here playing for the Town Of Cats Album “Dance Off The Deadbeat” (more tracks available on youtube). Town OF Cats bends each genre into their songs, supporting the story and journey of each song with a plethora of different sounds and variations. 
This project was a perfect opportunity for Jake to show his ability to adapt and perform many genres and to bend them into the theme of the musical context in question.

Alongside a continued working relationship with Town Of Cats, Jake has also played live drums and recorded with many artists across many Genres including;

Cosme Daniels, Ren, Sofia Edevane, Tilda Allie, Paradolia, Liz Ikamba, Grimaldi, The Arabella Hate Club, The Kafountine Elastic Family band, Duncan Disorderly and the Scallywags, Jimmy and the Riddles and many more.

Seen here playing live with Town of Cats at Love Supreme Festival 2024, Jake Hakus is available for percussion for both origional and cover material, live dj events, parties and recording sessions.

Recording can also be done remotely

Jake has run many workshops in circle music, body percussion and Djembe at both festivals and private events 

Jake trains Djembe every winter in West Africa with authentic griole teachers and also arranges journeys for others to come and experience learning music directly from the culturally authentic masters.
